Linux Lead Engineer

Responsibilities: 

1. Lead group of Linux Engineers in daily system administration tasks

2. Train Linux Engineers and customers  

3. Continuously improve security, documentation, and processes

4. Design new systems for customers 

5. Provide Level 2-3 support for customers 

6. Work with foreign experts in all areas to improve your skills, lead group of Linux Engineers in daily system administration tasks

7. Help manage local Chinese engineers 

8. Monitor engineer performance and usage of proper processes

9. Meet with customers on key issues 

10. Always provide excellent professional service to customers

Requirements: 

1. At least 5 years of in-depth Linux system administration experience in production environment 

2. Strong knowledge of Linux basic concepts, commands, and administration 

3. Strong knowledge of server security, threats, and management 

4. Experience as an engineering lead or manager 

5. Experience troubleshooting problems in every server area such as crashes, stability, and performance 

6. Ability to work on many different projects and customer issues simultaneously

7. Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, related discipline is required; 

8. Strong analytical, problem solving, self study, teamwork and user support skills/attitudes are required 

9. Effective spoken and written English and Chinese communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with end-users, peers and management and provide technical leadership as needed
