Security Engineer

The Internet is a dangerous place and our clients' systems / data is very valuable, so security is at the heart of everything we do.  We think about security every day, in every process, and managed it carefully in every way.  Thus, the job of Security Engineer is very important, since this role provides leadership, technology, processes, and training to the rest of the team and our clients.

Responsibilities: 

1. Set security policy for all systems and processes

2. Track all security issues and problems for all our systems, at every level, from hardware to OS to applications to databases to websites to caches to DNS to the network.

3. Monitor all major security services such as CERT, ISS, etc. for issues and updates

4. Monitor all major vendors for security issues and updates

5. Manage the security and auditing systems

6. Write processes for security-related functions

7. Setup and manage security monitoring tools

8. Teach other staff key skills 

9. Create and update accurate system documentation 

10. Accurately track their time for billing 

11. Always provide excellent professional service to customers 

Requirements: 

1. At least 3 years of in-depth security experience in a Linux production environment 

2. Strong knowledge of Linux basic concepts, commands, and administration 

3. Strong knowledge of server security, threats, and management 

4. Experience with security tools and techniques

5. Experience troubleshooting security issues 

6. Be willing to do overtime job as needed for projects & production systems maintenance requirements 

7. Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, related discipline is required; 

8. Strong analytical, problem solving, self study, teamwork and user support skills/attitudes are required 

9. Effective spoken and written English and Chinese communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with end-users, peers and management and provide technical leadership as needed
