Windows Engineer

Responsibilities:

1. Install and configure Windows servers, including Active Directory, IIS, and SQL Server

2. Update servers using MS Update server and other tools 

3. Maintain a secure server using standard techniques 

4. Install and manage Windows services such as IIS, FIrewall, Terminal Server, time sync, etc. 

5. Manage networking, including firewalls

6. Manage Windows high-availability and clustering 

7. Monitor server performance with tools including performance monitor

8. Setup and manage monitoring using tools such as Nagios, Mrtg, Hyperic, and Zenoss

9. Manage storage for CIFS, NFS, SANs, SAMBA 

10. Manage Xen and VMware virtualization configurations for Windows

11. Manage web servers such as IIS, but also Apache, Lighttpd, and Ngnix on Windows

12. Manage other web technologies such as MemCache and Squid using IIS

13. Use other tools such as Event Log managers and Anti-virus

14. Teach other staff key skills 

15. Create and update accurate system documentation 

16. Accurately track their time for billing 

17. Always provide excellent professional service to customers 

Requirements: 

1. At least 2 years of in-depth Windows Server system administration experience in production environment 

2. Strong knowledge of Windows and AD basic concepts, commands, and administration 

3. Strong knowledge of server security, threats, and management 

4. Experience with the most of the tools and systems listed above in Responsibilities 

5. Experience troubleshooting problems in every server area such as crashes, stability, and performance 

6. Be willing to do overtime job as needed for projects & production systems maintenance requirements 

7. Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, related discipline is required; 

8. Strong analytical, problem solving, self study, teamwork and user support skills/attitudes are required 

9. Effective spoken and written English and Chinese communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with end-users, peers and management and provide technical leadership as needed
