| | Partner News Amazon SES Gets Simpler with SMTP Amazon is excited to announce that they have added support for Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) to Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES), AWS's highly scalable and cost-effective bulk and transactional email-sending service for businesses and developers. It is now much easier to configure your programs and applications to send email via Amazon SES. Using your existing systems and SMTP, you don't have to write a single line of code to send your email. |

One of our core strengths is managing these systems for customers, so we have some advice on things you should do and things you should avoid, including the information below. Please contact us for more details and White Papers on these topics: - PHP servers usually work well, but can often have DB problems, especially with constantly-changing SQL and larger databases. But these are quite difficult to troubleshoot, or even measure to see which SQL, which code, and what areas are causing problems. Development best practices of course include adding instrumentation to your code to measure all things, but this is both difficult and time-consuming.
- Percona, the world's top MySQL consulting company, has released PHP instrumentation code you can use to help solve this problem. A number of classes are provided to track the number and type of SQL calls, the timing for each one, caching use, key and ID tracking, and much more.
By adding these simple tools to your code you can then get a lot more data, in this case, even exported to Apache for use in logs and more. It also adds file and ID into the DB connection so SHOW PROCESSLIST can tell you what php page is calling the DB. Implementation for PHP Percona PDF |
